To all Shipping Agency Companies & Vessels
Terminal Ferroviaria Puerto Barrios communicates to Shipping Agencies and Vessels, the following Health protocols established by Ministry of Health of Guatemala (MSPAS) and Port Authorities (CAPIP), as guidelines to attend the vessels at Puerto Barrios Terminal:
Vessel must provide & notify before arrival:
Port Control will make the questions established by Ministry of Health. Then the Terminal Port will decide whether the pilot may or may not board the vessel.
Maritime Declaration of Health
A signed and stamped letter informing if any of the crew presents sickness of confirmed disease.
Crew list, providing corporal temperature record of all of them.
Date and port of crew’s embark
Vessel port calls Document.
At the arrival:
100% of the vessel´s crew members must wear a disposable mask (like N95) and surgical gloves, during Vessel docked at port.
The crew is not allowed to disembark. Any case of emergency will be evaluated and authorized by the Port authorities and Harbor Master.
According Government Prevention Protocol, embark / disembark at Guatemala is not authorized.
If a crew member disembark occurs, the quarantine protocol will be applied according with Guatemalan Ministry of Health dispositions.
Groceries, food, and others supplies will be provided to the ship, through the Ship chandler authorized by the Terminal Port only.
Every person of port operations, Government Authorities or shipping agency, must wear disposable masks (like N95), and surgical gloves, after their compliance with the entrance rules stablished by the Port Terminal.
Health measures described, will continue active until the Government of Guatemala disposes otherwise, for which we will keep you informed.
